Director of Marketing
Melinda Koslowsky is a New Orleans native and the newest addition to the Witry Collective. She was born and raised on Decatur St. in the French Quarter, moving to Mid-City across from City Park on the Endymion parade route in her early teens. Growing up she loved walking through the French Quarter, hearing music all night long, going to every Jazz Festival since birth and marching in Mardi Gras Parades every year. After moving to the West Coast for high school in 1999, she started the journey of being a performer and what would later lead her into a career of Marketing and Design.
With an affinity for the arts, music and connecting with the community, Melinda took on the role of promoting her performances in dance/theatre/music, her friends shows and helping small businesses build a client base with good old-fashioned flyers, emails and face-to-face networking. She graduated from a performance art high school in Phoenix, AZ already with a title in marketing for a local Artwalk she assisted in developing called First Friday’s. Melinda went on to fulfill her dream of living in New York City and spent the majority of her 20’s studying fashion, public relations, photography, writing and playing music in the Big Apple.
Coming back home to New Orleans in 2016 after having her daughter, Penelope Royal, has brought an incredible amount of joy and success to Melinda’s life. She’s held positions in marketing and social media at the New Orleans Jazz Museum, Offbeat Magazine, Free People, Urbn Inc., WHIV-FM radio and now the Witry Collective. She’s recently joined a Mardi Gras Dance Krewe called the Camel Toe Lady Steppers (look for her in Muses!), is working on a screenplay and looks forward to forming a band again.
Feel free to connect with Melinda for local events, projects and marketing opportunities for the WC, she loves being involved in the community and sponging the history of her city while learning about the Real Estate industry.
