February Community Connect – Al Sidhom

February Community Connect – Al Sidhom

Witry Collective is incredibly excited to introduce our newest member, Al Sidhom. Al has over 20 years experience in real estate and his knowledge will be a huge asset to the firm. We encourage you to look out for Al and his listings, as he can guide you skillfully through the buying or selling process.

Al is originally from Dallas, Texas. He attended Loyola University New Orleans and graduated in 1998 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. He traveled for a year before moving back to New Orleans for good. He was inspired by the rich history of the port city and admired the deep culture that shapes it. Al landed himself a job with a development company as a project manager and head of market research. These positions sparked his interest in real estate and during the 9 years he was with the company, he bought and renovated three homes in the Irish Channel. At that time, the area was not as popular as it is today, but Al was future-minded and saw potential in the unique neighborhood that lies so close to Magazine Street.

Early in his career, Al received his Master’s in Counseling and is a licensed professional counselor. Al uses his behavioral background and his ability to make genuine connections while working with his clients. He sees his formal training as an asset to his real estate practice because every transaction requires understanding people’s anxieties when buying or selling a home. He is especially patient with his clients and knows how important it is to assess the pros and cons to help them make an educated decision. He finds value in walking his clients through the learning process of the real estate transaction.

Al started at Keller Williams and, as soon as he had the opportunity, he became his own broker. He had always been autonomous with his work, but he recognized that as his business grew, he could not be as successful on his own without support. Katie Witry and Al had worked together on many contracts throughout the years and had built a good rapport. Katie approached Al about joining Witry Collective and after Al met with the firm, he saw the benefits of being a part of a boutique real estate brokerage. He loved the energy of Witry Collective and appreciated the fun nature of the group.

Al’s favorite part about real estate is finding that “diamond in the rough.” He enjoys educating his clients about the value of a purchase or future renovation and shares his own personal experiences so that they can learn from him. In his free time, Al spends time with his wife of over 10 years, Tara, and their daughter, Sasha. They own multiple rental properties and work together on DIY projects and improvements. He and his family are passionate vegetarians and are regular sponsors of Veg Fest. Al loves the New Orleans Saints and the strong sense of community in this small metropolitan town.

Join us in welcoming Al to the Witry Collective!
